A cell phone company that calls itself “America’s only Christian conservative wireless provider” is making a presentation during Monday’s Southlake Carroll school board meeting concerning a donation to display “In God We Trust” signs.

The meeting starts at 5 p.m. Monday at 2400 N. Carroll Ave. The agenda lists Patriot Mobile’s presentation of a donation under “SB 797.” Senate Bill 797 calls for school districts that receive donations of signs with the motto, “In God we trust” to display them prominently in all campus buildings.

In the May school board elections, Grapevine-based Patriot Mobile poured $500,000 into a PAC to support candidates in the Carroll, Grapevine-Colleyville, Keller and Mansfield school districts.

The school board will also discuss the superintendent’s contract and evaluation in executive session and will have an update on safety and security.
