Patrick Mahomes Reacts To Tyreek Hill’s Madden Rating

EA Sports has started releasing the player ratings for Madden NFL 22 today, starting with wide receivers. And among the many elite wideouts who got their ratings today is Kansas City Chiefs speedster Tyreek Hill.

On Monday, Hill was informed that he received a 98 rating in Madden NFL 22. While that mark puts him in the top-two for receivers in the upcoming game, it still didn’t sit well with Hill’s quarterback – Patrick Mahomes.

Taking to Twitter, Mahomes took a little bit of umbrage with Hill’s rating. “Give that man his 99 rating!!!” Mahomes demanded.

Hill himself seemed okay with the rating, or at least, motivated enough by the rating to work harder. “That’s one step closer to where I want to be!” Hill boldly declared.

Tyreek Hill has made five straight Pro Bowls in five NFL seasons. He’s coming off his third All-Pro season, during which he led the NFL in yards per touch with 14 while scoring a career-high 15 touchdowns.

But while Hill has received the 98 rating multiple times, he hasn’t been deemed ready for that top possible rating quite yet. Meanwhile, his Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce has earned the rating from the tight end spot.

It’s likely that Hill will need to lead the NFL in some combination of the three major receiving categories to get over the hump.

When he finally does, Patrick Mahomes will be among the happiest to see him get there.
