What does Jillian Dempsey do?
Jillian Dempsey is a makeup artist. She ran a hair salon in Los Angeles until 1998, which is where she and Patrick met.
She's also created two cosmetics lines. Her first, Delux Beauty, was specifically designed to be applied with users' hands instead of tools, brushes or sponges. Her creations included a lip gloss just for the cast of Charlie's Angels. Her products were an industry favorite and were used in the Reese Witherspoon romcom Sweet Home Alabama, among others, according to PEOPLE.
Her namesake Jillian Dempsey line came out in 2014 with some similarities to her first brand, but a key difference as well.
"With my first brand Delux Beauty, I couldn't afford to do anything that was natural," Jillian explained to Beauty Independent. "The cost of goods would have been too high. I wanted to make my current brand cruelty-free and vegan, utilizing natural and organic materials where I could find ingredients and making it really easy to use."
Her new line has not just makeup, but also haircare and skincare products.
Patrick has modeled for and promoted the brand on Instagram—and he even inspired a "Dude Kit" for men from her line.

Are Patrick Dempsey and Jillian still married?
Jillian and Patrick Dempsey are still married, but they hit a very rough patch that nearly ended in divorce.
Jillian filed for divorce from Patrick in January 2015, according to PEOPLE. The pair released a joint statement to the outlet at the time, saying, "It is with careful consideration and mutual respect that we have decided to end our marriage. Our primary concern remains the wellbeing of our children, and we ask with profound gratitude that you respect our family’s privacy at this very sensitive time."
They then spent about a year in couple's therapy before reconciling for good. He later told PEOPLE of their journey, "Everybody has their own path. Jill and I decided it was time to work on our issues and improve. We wanted to be role models for our kids like, 'Okay, if you have differences, you can work them out.'"
He explained that he'd been spending too much time racing cars and not enough at home with his family, noting, "I [learned] to prioritize. Our union has to be the priority. I wasn't prepared to give up on her and she wasn't either. We both wanted to fight for it."

How old was Patrick Dempsey's first wife?
Patrick Dempsey was 21 years old when he married his first spouse, Rocky Parker, who was 47 at the time. They divorced in 1991, citing irreconcilable differences, with Parker saying Dempsey met another woman. Parker also accused Dempsey of domestic violence in court documents obtained by The National Enquirer (via TODAY), alleging, "While we were on the set of his [1987] movie Can’t Buy Me Love he beat me up because he wanted to see what it was like to beat a woman."
However, she retracted the domestic violence allegations in a statement obtained by Dempsey's legal team (via Daily Mail). “In the heat of a divorce, sometimes people say things they normally wouldn’t," she said. "But the statements of physical and mental abuse, as well as alcoholism and drug use, are false."
Parker died in 2014 at the age of 74.
