Pasco bank and vault reduced to rubble. What’s going in its place?
An excavator with a powerful chisel attachment worked last week to break apart a heavy steel-reinforced bank vault at the former U.S. Bank building in Pasco.
The demolition work is part of a project to redevelop the site at 1840 W. Court St. for a new restaurant and ice cream shop.
A 2,800-square-foot Bruchi’s CheeseSteaks & Subs and a 1,500-square-foot Baskin-Robbins are scheduled be built there.
It will become the sixth Bruchi’s in Tri-Cities. The popular sandwich shop specializes in cheesesteaks, subs, burgers and salads.
The restaurant will be the chain’s second Pasco outlet.
The Spokane-founded chain built a similar combo restaurant with Baskin-Robbins on Kennewick Avenue in Kennewick.
