Parades, drinks, and more: How to celebrate Mardi Gras 2024 in the OKC metro

Laissez les bons temps rouler! If you can't make it to the French Quarter for Tuesday but you are in the mood for a Mardi Gras celebration, there are a few options around town.

From parades to restaurants with meal specials, here are five ways the Oklahoma City metro-area is dialing up the Fat Tuesday fun and flavors.

1. Norman Mardi Gras Parade

Norman will celebrate 30 years since its first Mardi Gras parade took over the City's streets this Saturday beginning when the sun sets. Dancing with Dragons is the 2024 theme and an awards ceremony will follow at The Depot, 201 S. Jones Ave. The events are free and open to the public.

2. Mardi Gras Brunch at The Jones Assembly

The Jones is bringing its Mardi Gras Brunch back and inviting you to use it as a Super Bowl pregame. Tickets are $55 per person and include access to a brunch buffet featuring Louisiana classics like Crawfish Etouffee, Gumbo, Biscuits and Red Eye Gravy, King Cruller, and a Bananas Foster action station. 3. Mardi Gras Danish at la Madeleine

Through Tuesday, guests can get a festive and flaky Danish with a strawberry jam and cream cheese filling, topped with a fondant glaze and dusted with purple, yellow and green sugar for $3.99.

4. Cocktails, Cajun cuisine and king cake at Fish City Grill

Specialty cocktails, Cajun-inspired food and drink offerings, and even crawfish in limited supply, are on the menu for Fat Tuesday at Fish City Grill. The restaurant will be bedecked with beads and other Mardi Gras décor, and may also have live entertainment. Customers can also receive free slices of King Cake, while supplies last.

5. All-day happy hour and food specials at Razzoo's Cajun Cafe

Now through Tuesday, Razzoo's is serving up a nonstop celebration full of food, drinks, and a lively atmosphere channeling Big Easy vibes. With drink specials including $5 frozen drinks and wine, $2 and $4 drafts of Miller Lite, Coors Lite, and Bud Light and all other drafts are just $3 for pints and $5 for mugs, plus food specials starting at $5, you can indulge in all the flavor and fun of Mardi Gras.
