Panthers Owner Sends Clear Message About Matt Rhule
Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper is still a believer in head coach Matt Rhule–publicly at least.
The last two seasons haven’t been the greatest, but that’s not stopping Tepper from saying Rhule can get this turned around.
“I believe in Matt (Rhule) and he has my full support,” Tepper said. “We’re not in the then, we’re in the now.”

Carolina will be hoping that this season will be a lot better than the last two seasons. The Panthers have finished below .500 each time and have also gotten bad quarterback play, too.
Sam Darnold started out red-hot last season before losing steam and then getting hurt. After that, the team played Cam Newton and P.J. Walker, which didn’t work out either.
The team has to show something this year and hopefully get better quarterback play. The Panthers may take one with the No. 6 overall pick in the NFL Draft as a way to challenge Darnold for the starting role.
If the Panthers have another down year, don’t be surprised if Rhule is on his way out in early 2023.
