Paige Spiranac Opened Up On Her Unfortunate Photo Leak
In a recent episode of her podcast ‘Playing-A-Round’, former golfer and current analyst Paige Spiranac opened up about a very private moment.
She remembered the time when one of her ex-boyfriends sent a naked picture of her to his friends. The photo was passed around a few other people as well.
Unfortunately, the picture eventually made its way to social media, which led to harassment from the masses on several platforms. Spiranac even revealed that she received death threats.
Here’s what she said, via Golf Magic:
“It was horrible, just getting these random messages from people you don’t know and they’ve seen you in such a vulnerable way. It was disgusting,” Spiranac said. I would wake up every single day, I would check my phone and be like, ‘Am I going to be on TMZ today? Am I going to be here, am I going to be there?'”
She said the constant stress was the worst part.
“That was the worst part,” she said. “I was constantly stressed out that someone was going to see it and someone was going to get it and that it was going to get out. Also, that was one picture. I don’t know what else he had or what he was going to release. If he did it once, he could do it again and again and again.”
Thankfully, she regained her confidence and eventually found peace after posing for Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit edition.
“I felt so empowered and I was like, ‘OK, if I’m going to do this, I’m doing it on my terms’ and I took it back, I took my body back,” she said after the shoot a few years ago.
