Packers pick Jordan Morgan in the first round of 2024 NFL draft. Twitter reacts to the selection.

For the first time in 13 years, the Green Bay Packers selected an offensive lineman in the first round of the NFL draft when they picked Arizona's Jordan Morgan 25th overall tonight.

The pick of the 6-foot-5, 311-pounder fills a need for the Packers after they lost a couple linemen to free agency, parted with longtime left tackle David Bakhtiari and also look to add more depth in protecting quarterback Jordan Love.

The selection of Morgan comes a year after Green Bay picked Iowa edge rusher Lukas Van Ness in the first round, a stretch of 11 drafts in 12 years where the Packers took a defensive player with their opening pick.

What is social media saying about Morgan?

Some are satisfied, while others question why the Packers didn't take Iowa cornerback Cooper DeJean, a trendy mock draft selection for the team. And one person in Detroit for the draft was utterly shocked by the pick.

Here's instant reaction to the Packers selection of Morgan, who returned to the field in 2023 after tearing his ACL in 2022.
