Aaron Rodgers is committed to the Green Bay Packers this upcoming season. He’s probably willing to play in Green Bay in 2022, as well. Former Packers great LeRoy Butler believes that’ll then prove to be the end of the Rodgers-Packers relationship.

Butler joined TMZ Sports in an interview on Saturday. He discussed how he believes Rodgers’ future will play out. In doing so, he made a dire prediction: Rodgers will spend just two more seasons in Green Bay before he leaves during the 2023 offseason.

“After ’22,” Butler predicted during an interview with TMZ Sports. “I think [Rodgers] will be gone to wherever he wants to go and they’ll be glad to get rid of him at that point.”

Rodgers leaving after the 2022 season wouldn’t be surprise. In fact, most expect it at this point. What would prove haunting is if the Packers end being “glad to get rid of him at that point,” as Butler predicted. If that ends up being the case, it will have meant these next two seasons could turn ugly in Green Bay.

The reality is Aaron Rodgers’ days with the Packers are numbered. His career with the organization will most likely come to an end after the 2022 season, as the team recently restructured his deal, voiding the final season of his contract, which was set to be 2023.

There is, of course, a possibility Rodgers wants out (again) after this upcoming season. He’s lost two straight NFC Championship games with the Packers. If he loses another and fails to make the Super Bowl, his frustrations could boil over at that point.

For now, Rodgers is committed to the Packers for this season. But as we’ve seen from the reigning MVP already this offseason, his so-called commitment could change at any given moment.
