It’s been a very eventful week for the Green Bay Packers’ roster.

The team has officially added Aaron Rodgers, who reported to training camp after months of being away from the team. Green Bay also traded for one of his favorite wide receivers in Randall Cobb.

Now, the team has announced that a 2020 NFL Draft pick has been placed on the league’s Reserve/Retired list.

The Packers announced on Saturday that a 2020 sixth round choice has been placed on the list.

From the team:

The Green Bay Packers have placed G Simon Stepaniak on the reserve/retired list. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction Saturday.

Stepaniak (step-uh-nack) was originally selected by the Packers out of Indiana University with the third of three picks in the sixth round (No. 209 overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He did not play in a game as a rookie last season due to injury.

Stepaniak spent the first 13 weeks of the 2020 season on the reserve/non-football injury list. He was then activated on Dec. 9, but spent Weeks 14-17 on the inactive list. Stepaniak was placed on injured reserve in January.

The former Big Ten offensive lineman made 31 starts during his Indiana career.
