Pacers fans react to Tyrese Haliburton's injury by recalling Paul George, Victor Oladipo

Indiana Pacers All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton was carried off the court Monday night in the second quarter after slipping on the Gainbridge Fieldhouse court and essentially doing the splits.

The Pacers trailed the Boston Celtics 60-54 with 3:10 left when Haliburton went down while driving toward the basket. The Pacers reported at halftime that he injured his left hamstring and would not return. He is scheduled for a Tuesday MRI.

Haliburton's departure sent Pacers fans thinking of serious injuries suffered by Paul George and Victor Oladipo while they played for Indiana. George missed almost a full season after breaking a leg while playing for the U.S. national team in 2014. Oladipo missed about one year after suffering a quad injury in 2019.

Haliburton came into the game averaging 24.2 points and an NBA-leading 12.7 assists per game. He missed 10 games in a row last January with an injury, and the Pacers went 1-9 in those games.

The Pacers beat the Celtics 133-131.
