Pacers fans react to Tyrese Haliburton's injury by recalling Paul George, Victor Oladipo
Indiana Pacers All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton was carried off the court Monday night in the second quarter after slipping on the Gainbridge Fieldhouse court and essentially doing the splits.
The Pacers trailed the Boston Celtics 60-54 with 3:10 left when Haliburton went down while driving toward the basket. The Pacers reported at halftime that he injured his left hamstring and would not return. He is scheduled for a Tuesday MRI.
Haliburton's departure sent Pacers fans thinking of serious injuries suffered by Paul George and Victor Oladipo while they played for Indiana. George missed almost a full season after breaking a leg while playing for the U.S. national team in 2014. Oladipo missed about one year after suffering a quad injury in 2019.
Haliburton came into the game averaging 24.2 points and an NBA-leading 12.7 assists per game. He missed 10 games in a row last January with an injury, and the Pacers went 1-9 in those games.
The Pacers beat the Celtics 133-131.

Haliburton was carried off with a towel over his head. In considerable pain. Brutal to see. Hopefully not as bad as it looked. https://t.co/ISnd3McpFj

Prayers up for Tyrese Haliburton man
One of the most fun players to watch across the entire league and he’s brought so much life to this Pacers organization. Hopefully it’s not as bad as it seems

Tyrese Haliburton’s leg slipped out from under him on a drive and after falling awkwardly he had to be carried off the court in Indy just now in tonight’s game vs Boston.
Haliburton led the Pacers to the IST title game & is on his way to starting the All-Star Game in Indy.— Tim Bontemps (@TimBontemps) January 9, 2024
This isn’t even fair.
I hope Haliburton is okay.
The injury curse has to end for Indy when you go from Luck to PG to Oladipo to Richardson, then now.

Not sure what's going on with the court in Indy, but they absolutely need to make sure they figure it out. Haliburton was just one of several players to slip in the first half
