Oxford man facing sex-trafficking charges in federal court

WORCESTER — An Oxford man was indicted in U.S. District Court on child exploitation charges.

Michael Lamountain, 41, faces related charges in state court.

A federal grand jury recently handed up indictments on charges of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, sex trafficking of a minor and sexual exploitation of a minor (four counts).

According to the office of Acting U.S. Attorney Joshua S. Levy, court documents say that on July 19, 2023, Lamountain sex trafficked a minor victim and coerced the minor victim to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing child pornography. Also, he allegedly coerced three other minor victims to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing child pornography.

Lamountain has been in state custody since August 2023, after an investigation involving police from Worcester and Oxford. Court records show LaMountain is accused of raping three children in Worcester County between 2021 and 2023. Two of the children were between ages 12 and 16, the indictments show, while one child was under 12.
