Sadly, all of the Bed Bath & Beyond stores have officially closed, but the home brand lives on — thanks to Overstock, which has recently taken over the name.

Overstock acquired the bankrupt brand back in June, and now, the two brands have been merged into one online shopping platform. That's why, if you've attempted to shop on Overstock.com in the last few days, you've noticed that you actually wind up at BedBathandBeyond.com.

If you're like a lot of shoppers, you probably have many questions about what this means in terms of credit cards, coupons and more. Here, we're answering all of your questions.

Why did Overstock become Bed Bath & Beyond?

Overstock is attempting to revamp by using the Bed Bath & Beyond name, since it acquired the intellectual property in June — likely because the Bed Bath & Beyond name has a lot more recognition and familiarity among consumers than Overstock ever has. "Overstock has a great business model with a name that does not reflect its focus on home," Jonathan Johnson, CEO of the new Bed Bath & Beyond said per NPR. "Bed Bath & Beyond is a much-loved and well-known consumer brand, which had an outdated business model that needed modernizing... Think of it as Bed Bath & a much bigger, better Beyond."

Are Bed, Bath and Beyond stores coming back?

Unlike before, Bed Bath & Beyond will be a fully online retailer, so you'll no longer be able to browse the discounts at your local store. BedBathandBeyond.com is now selling Overstock's inventory, which is slightly different from what the brand previously offered. The brand will continue to sell bed, bath and kitchen essentials, but you'll now find more products in the furniture, rugs and lighting categories.

Can I still use my Overstock credit card?

Yes. Cardholders can continue shopping with their Overstock credit cards on the Bed Bath & Beyond site. Shoppers will receive 5% back in rewards on Bed Bath & Beyond purchases, 3% at apparel and department stores, 2% on gasoline and 1% on all other purchases. You can still actively apply for an Overstock credit card or manage your current account.

What about Bed Bath & Beyond coupons?

While the brand's iconic 20% off coupons have officially expired, Bed Bath & Beyond is offering several discounts to celebrate the rebranding. According to Fast Company, anyone who downloads the new Bed Bath & Beyond by Overstock app will receive a one-time 25% off coupon, so long as they shop through the app.

As for active members of Bed Bath & Beyond's former loyalty program, per CNBC, the brand will be reinstating up to $50 in unused rewards points, and will provide a free year-long membership of the new Welcome Rewards program (which costs $19.95 annually). The membership fee will also be waved for those with an Overstock credit card.
