Droughtlander is officially over, and fans are back to watching new episodes of Outlander season 7. But while following the lives of Jamie Fraser and his family, Sam Heughan dropped a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most devastating moments of the show so far.

In a video uploaded on the actor's Instagram, he showed a glimpse of filming Jamie and Claire (Caitriona Balfe)'s home Fraser's Ridge burning down at the end of episode 2. As Sam stood around in his costume, he pointed the camera over to a crew of firefighters safely hosing down the set from the flames. What's more, he joked in the caption about how good it was to have them there, as he wouldn't know how to help in the scenario.

"The Big House burning down … 🔥," he wrote on July 6. "Jamie and Claire are useless at putting it out, but thankfully help was at hand. 😂."

Though the Men in Kilts host had a sense of humor over the burning of Fraser's Ridge, the alarming clip set fans off. Unlike Sam, many expressed feeling heartbroken to see an iconic piece of the series be turned to ashes.

"Claire and Jamie don't have one minute of peace 😂," one person wrote in the Instagram comments section. "So sad to see it go!! Jamie Fraser was a master builder.🤭," another chimed in, referencing Sam's character building the home for his family in the United States. "Goodbye Fraser's Ridge 😪🔥, but we look forward to new adventures and places ❤️👏," a different follower replied.

As viewers may know, Fraser's Ridge caught on fire after a lit match made contact with homemade ether while Jamie and Claire were held hostage inside by Wendigo Donner (Brennan Martin) and his men. While the couple managed to get out of the house in time, the first home they built after leaving Scotland didn't fare as well and burned to the ground.

Despite its dramatic end, Sam had different thoughts about the scene. "It was sad to see the house go up in flames metaphorically and physically," he told Town and Country. "It's the end of their home and for Jamie and Claire, it really displaces them and begins the next chapter in their lives."

As for how this instance affects Jamie and Claire, folks will need to keep tuning in to find out.
