OU football bowl projections 2023: Sooners still in mix to make College Football Playoff

The Sooners remain in the hunt for a spot in the College Football Playoff.

OU avoided an upset in Week 8 with a 31-29 home win over UCF. The narrow victory allowed the Sooners to remain at No. 6 in the AP poll, and they even went up one spot to No. 6 in the AFCA Coaches poll.

With five games left in the regular season, OU (7-0, 4-0 Big 12) is widely projected to play in no worse than a New Year's Six bowl game.
