Can Oregon women's basketball get revenge on surging Oregon State Beavers? What to know

Oregon (11-11, 2-7 Pac-12) vs. No. 18 Oregon State (17-3, 6-3 Pac-12)

Time/date: 4 p.m., Sunday

Site: Matthew Knight Arena; Eugene

TV: Pac-12 Network. Radio: KUGN 98.1 FM.

About the matchup: As the Ducks enter the second round of league play, the first team they’ll play for the second time this season is Oregon State. The Beavers defeated Oregon back on New Year’s Eve in Corvallis, 62-41. The Ducks held the Beavs to just 15 points in the first half but fell apart in the second half, getting outscored 47-18. Oregon State is one of the hottest teams in the country, winning five of its last six games, while the Ducks are on a four-game losing streak.

About the Ducks: Oregon dropped its first two Pac-12 games at home last weekend to a pair of ranked foes in Colorado and Utah, failing to score over 50 points in both games. While the Ducks held both the Utes and Buffaloes well below their season scoring averages, offense has been their biggest issue all season long. The Ducks rank dead-last in the Pac-12, averaging 62.3 points per game while shooting 30.7% from 3-point land, also last in the conference.

About the Beavers: Oregon State is fresh off a home sweep over Colorado and Utah and has soared all the way to No. 18 in the AP Poll. Reagan Beers (18.8 points, 11 rebounds per game), and Talia von Oelhoffen (10.6 points, 5.3 assists per game) spearhead a vaunted Beaver attack, but freshman guard Donovyn Hunter from Medford has shot lights out of late. Hunter scored 16 points in a win over Colorado and had 17 points and 10 assists in a blowout of Utah.
