Options for Loudonville-Perrysville school facilities to be addressed at April meetings

The Loudonville-Perrysville Exempted Village School District (LPEVSD) is holding a series of community meetings to discuss the district’s master facilities plan, signaling the next phase in a comprehensive study to ensure the future readiness of educational facilities.

In partnership with Garmann Miller, an architecture firm specializing in K-12 educational projects, the district has assessed existing facilities and is working with the Facilities Task Force, made up of staff, parents, community members and Board of Education members, to guide the development of the plan.

LPEVSD collaborated with Garmann Miller to assess current facilities and establish the Facilities Task Force. Together, they analyzed the requirements for renovations to meet accessibility standards and other necessary improvements, according to a news release from the district. This involved studying recommendations from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission tailored to districts of a similar size, as well as reviewing strategies implemented by comparable districts in facility upgrades.

"I am looking forward to sharing our progress with the community," said Superintendent Jennifer Allerding. "The Task Force has worked diligently to review information and data from Garmann Miller and narrowed in on a plan that, as a committee, we believe meets the needs of our students and community."
