Opening day for this new-to-Wichita burger chain — which also serves wings — has arrived

Wichitans waiting for the opening of Wichita’s first Fatburger, which will be part of a co-branded restaurant called Fatburger & Buffalo’s Express, can stop waiting.

Wednesday (July 27) is opening day for the restaurant, which is at 2556 N. Greenwich, Suite 107, a spokesperson for the chain confirmed. It opens at 11 a.m., then its hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 11 am. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Though it’s near K-96 and Greenwich, those looking for the restaurant won’t find it just by driving past. It’s tucked back in the Wichita Crossing Center (which also has Jersey Mike’s and Crumbl Cookies) and is connected to the north end of the Academy Sports store there.

The restaurant will serve not only California-based Fatburger’s famous burgers but also chicken wings by its sister restaurant, Buffalo’s Express. Franchise group Uncle John’s Brands LLC has said it hopes to eventually bring at least three Fatburger & Buffalo’s Express restaurants to Wichita, though it hasn’t yet identified any other locations.

Burger choices at the restaurant include four sizes, from a 1/3-pound single patty burger to an XXXL triple patty monster that costs $16.95. The menu also includes a Western bacon burger, a 1000 Island burger, a turkey burger and a veggie burger. White, wheat and gluten-free buns are available.

It also serves onion rings, regular fries, sweet potato fries and chili cheese fries. Milkshakes are also on the menu, as are a chili cheese dog and a chicken sandwich.

Wing fans can choose from boneless or bone-in, and flavors range from mild to sweet to hot. The full menu is available at fatburger.com/menu-index
