The One Show confirms new host in presenter shake-up
The One Show has announced a new permanent presenter joining the hit BBC One current affairs show.
I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here and Celebrity Gogglebox star Roman Kemp, who has been guest presenting on the show since the beginning of this year, has been promoted by bosses to a regular co-host position.
He'll join long-serving The One Show presenter Alex Jones on the sofa on select weeknights, having signed up to job-share hosting duties with fellow co-host Jermaine Jenas.

"I’m very excited to become a permanent presenter on The One Show, I have had so much fun filming with the team already over the past year on the sofa," said Kemp in a press statement.
"It’s a dream come true to be on prime-time BBC One, bringing the best topical news and entertainment to the nation."
Kemp's promotion coincides with current co-host Ronan Keating's decision to do fewer shows going forward.

The Boyzone singer has confirmed he'll be "doing less shows this year due to my performing and recording schedule".
Keating assured fans that he was "still very much part of the family and wished Roman the best of luck".
DJ Lauren Laverne has also been announced as another new face who will be given a "regular spot on the sofa" going forward.

The Desert Island Discs presenter has also stepped in as a guest co-host in the past, so is no stranger to The One Show viewers.
Kemp, who is currently the host of Capital FM's early breakfast show, is also the face of a new BBC quiz show The Finish Line, which he helms with former Blue Peter presenter Sarah Greene.
The show, which first aired on August 21, runs weeknights on BBC One and sees five contestants battle it out in a bid to win a cash prize in each episode.
As the players answer questions, they’ll make their way through a series of qualifiers and head-to-head races in the hopes of reaching the finish line before their rivals.
