One person injured in shooting on Fox Trace in Augusta

One person was injured Friday in a shooting on Fox Trace in Augusta.

Just before 9:45 p.m. Friday, Richmond County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to Fox Trace for shots fired with one person down, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

When deputies arrived, they found a man in the road who was shot at least once, according to the release.

The man was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries, according to the sheriff's office.
