A new restaurant for Southlake, and an update on Press Cafe in Aledo
Pacific Table, a Pacific Northwest seafood restaurant that has become one of the busiest in Fort Worth, will open a Southlake location, executive Felipe Armenta said Monday.
Fort Worth-based Far Out Hospitality, operator of 11 area restaurants, will open its third Pacific Table at 2221 E. Southlake Blvd., a former Southwestern grill in the Kimball Oaks shopping center.
The company’s next opening will be its second Press Cafe, coming by mid-January at 109 S. Front St., Aledo, Armenta said.
The first Pacific Table opened in 2013 at 1600 S. University Drive, Fort Worth, near TCU and the Fort Worth Zoo. The restaurant has since added a second location in Las Colinas at 5238 N. O’Connor Blvd., Irving.
Armenta is also separately involved in Cork & Pig Tavern, 1431 E. Southlake Blvd.
The new Pacific Table space in Southlake was “too good to pass up,” he said.
It’s twice the size of the Fort Worth restaurant and will allow more room for private events, plus more kitchen space to bake the restaurant’s signature pies, he said.
Pacific Table is known for its yuzu lemon meringue pie and also for its fried oysters, grilled artichokes and cioppino. Landlubber dishes such as a crushed-pecan veggie burger or weekend lemon ricotta pancakes are also popular.
The company also revamped the menu at Towne Grill, 9365 Rain Lily Trail in Alliance Town Center, to add pizzas, pastas and a chicken-fried steak with jalapeno gravy,
Far Out Hospitality’s original restaurant is the Tavern, 2755 S. Hulen St.
The new Press Cafe — as in a French press coffeemaker — will replace Bistro 1031.
The first Press opened in 2016 at 4801 Edwards Ranch Road. It became known for its trailside patio along the river and for all-day brunch, lunch and dinner service.
Like other restaurants from Armenta, a former Houston’s/Hillstone executive, Press Cafe offers a short but varied menu of small plates, salads, burgers and a few full-size entrees.
The company also operates F1 Smokehouse, Le Margot and Maria’s Mexican Kitchen, Fort Worth, along with Cowboy Prime in Midland and The Grill in San Angelo.
