Gorgeous Stone Colonial in Rye, NY, Evokes Classic Elegance (House of the Day)

Updated

Hear, hear! A toast to @HoulihanRE for snagging the title of our #housepornthurs winner two weeks in a row! Last week it was a grand manor; this week it's a jaw-dropping stone Colonial in Rye, N.Y., that won it for them. Voters sure do love that classic architecture! A second toast to the runner-up, @PlatProperties, for putting up a good fight with this five-floor townhouse in the heart of Manhattan.

Located in a "well-established estate neighborhood," the stone Colonial sits on the grounds of the Westchester Country Club in Westchester County, just north of New York City. The six-bedroom, six-bathroom home has a lovely entryway with winding staircase. Large, open rooms with high ceilings give the 7,000-square-foot house a feeling of expansiveness. The master suite has a powder room, and there's also a gym in the home -- all this for $3.65 million.
