Omarosa Demands Restraining Order After Imaginary Tambourine Attack

Omarosa

Say what you want about Omarosa Manigault Newman (and Tiffany "New York" Pollard certainly has), but the woman knows how to make good TV. Nowhere is that more apparent than on E! Network's House of Villains, where Omarosa has been at the center of nearly every deranged moment this season (GOOGLE ME.) In Episode 7, however, the former Apprentice star, Celebrity Big Brother contestant and White House staffer took things to a whole new level: fabricating a "violent" assault.

On the previous episode, in a bid to save herself from elimination, Bad Girls Club's Tanisha Thomas brought a pots-and-pans-banging choir into the house to wake up her fellow villains. Thomas, waving a tambourine, led the choir up to the second floor where Omarosa, in an attempt to steal Tanisha's thunder, grabbed two pans from a choir member and joined the orchestral ensemble. In Episode 7, however, Lady O is now claiming that during the festivities, Tanisha took a cheap shot and walloped her on the back of the hand amid the chaos. The only problem: The entire incident was caught on tape (this is, after all, a reality TV show), and no such contact was ever made.

That certainly didn't stop Omarosa for milking the situation. "She hit me from behind," she claimed. "Everybody came to me and said they saw her hit me." (They did, in fact, not.) "It's very traumatic, even right now," she said later in confessional.

After the incident, Omarosa demanded her phone from producers, emailed her attorney and then had a long phone call with her legal council where she said, "Getting hit from the back is not an accident, and she needs to go, and they've decided to keep her in the house. I don't feel safe and nobody here is listening." Seemingly, Omarosa thought this would be a convenient way to eliminate her target Tanisha after the house chose to vote out Corinne Olympios instead.

Later on, while confronting one of the show's producers and doubling down on her accusations, Omarosa demanded a restraining order of sorts. "I need a mandated at least 10 feet," she said. When the producer countered with five, she replied, "Five feet it is." But then later in the evening she was huddled on the couch with Tanisha and others.

The next morning, committing to the bit and never one to let a moment slip past her, Omarosa texted producers, saying, "I want to go to the urgent care for my hand this morning," before telling fellow cast member Bobby Lytes, "They're making me go take an x-ray."

Later on, prior to her doctor's appointment, she told the house, "I gotta go get this x-ray since I was bashed with a tambourine violently yesterday."

She returned a few hours later wearing a brace on her wrist. One can only assume the brace is for style purposes given that the video shows the tambourine never made contact.

This incident of course brings to mind Omarosa's infamous asthma attack amid a bowling competition on Celebrity Big Brother. Losing the competition and likely to be nominated for eviction, Omarosa conveniently fled the back yard and was sent to the hospital. When she returned, other houseguests (and host Julie Chen) speculated that perhaps the asthma attack was played up for sympathy.

Nevertheless, Omarosa remains safe for the fourth consecutive week on House of Villains and is stuck in the house with Tanisha. TBD on if her asthma or tweaked wrist will reappear as we head towards the show's December finale.
