Olivia Colman criticises gender pay gap in Hollywood
Olivia Colman has spoken out against the gender pay gap in Hollywood.
The Wicked Little Letters and The Favourite actress made an appearance on Christiane Amanpour's CNN show, where she criticised how men get paid more within the film industry than women do.
"Don't get me started on the pay disparity – but male actors get paid more because they used to say they draw in the audiences," she said.
"And actually, that hasn't been true for decades. But they still like to use that as a reason to not pay women as much as their male counterparts."

When Amanpour asked if she had experienced pay disparity even as an Oscar winner, She explained that she had seen this first-hand.
"I'm very aware that if I was Oliver Colman, I'd be earning a f**k of a lot more than I am... Absolutely yes, I'm aware of [it]," she replied.
"I know of one pay disparity, which is a 12,000 per cent difference. Do the maths. I know."

Meanwhile, Colman recently spoke about her deleted scene from the Barbie movie, which was first revealed by Helen Mirren. According to Mirren, it featured Colman breaking into the studio to try and steal the role of narrator.
"I never saw it," Colman explained. "They arranged a call between me, David Heyman, the producer, and Greta Gerwig. I thought, 'Oh, I know what this must be [for].'
"It made perfect sense, because it didn't add to the story, it was just fun. Maybe they were running over, I don't know.
"But it was kind of perfect for me, because I got paid for the job, and then no-one could say I was shit in it."
