OU women's basketball vs Florida Gulf Coast recap: Sooners advance in NCAA Tournament

Coach Jennie Baranczyk and the fifth-seeded Oklahoma Sooners face the 12th-seeded Florida Gulf Coast Eagles on Saturday in the first round of the NCAA women's basketball tournament in Bloomington, Ind.

The winner will face fourth-seeded Indiana on Monday. The Hoosiers beat 13th-seeded Fairfield 89-56 earlier Saturday.

OU avoided the 12-5 upset, rallying past FGCU and holding on for a 73-70 win after Uju Ezeudu's 3-point attempt at the buzzer just missed going in.

Skylar Vann led the Sooners with 24 points.

Emani Jefferson scored 22 points for the Eagles.

Up next is fourth-seeded Indiana on Monday.
