Will the OKC Thunder trade Aleksej Pokusevski ahead of the 2024 NBA trade deadline?
The 2024 NBA trade deadline is just a week away, and trade rumors are picking up.
ESPN created a list Monday of six trades it wanted to see, and the Thunder was mentioned twice, with forward Aleksej Pokusevski being involved in both scenarios.
The first potential trade involved Oklahoma City receiving Chicago center Andre Drummond in exchange for Pokusevski, a 2025 second-round pick (via Philadelphia) and two 2027 second-round picks (via Philadelphia and Minnesota).
The second scenario included Oklahoma City and Toronto. The Thunder would get center Jakob Poeltl and guard Dennis Schröder, who played for Oklahoma City from 2018-2020, while the Raptors would receive Pokusevski, forward Davis Bertans, guards Tre Mann and Aaron Wiggins, two first-round picks and two second-round picks.
Oklahoma City is just a game behind Minnesota for the top seed in the Western Conference and has a 33-15 record.

How has Aleksej Pokusevski fared with the OKC Thunder?
Pokusevski, a 22-year-old from Serbia, was drafted by Minnesota with the 17th pick in the 2020 draft before being traded to Oklahoma City a couple days later and has struggled with injuries.
Listed at 7-foot, 210 pounds, he has played in 148 games in four seasons, averaging 7.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and two assists per matchup while shooting 38.7% from the field and 29.8% on 3-point attempts.
Pokusevski is in the last year of his rookie contract.
