The preliminaries are over. Now it's on to the main event. The OHSAA football playoffs start tonight with 17 first-round games featuring Akron-area schools. Four games will pit two Akron-area teams against each other: No. 1 Hoban vs. No. 16 Ellet, No. 2 Walsh Jesuit vs. No. 15 Firestone and No. 5 Nordonia vs. No. 12 Twinsburg in Division II; and No. 2 Norton vs. No. 15 Revere in Division III. The Panthers are the final undefeated team in the Akron area.
