Three more individuals were arrested Thursday morning at Ohio State University during an on-campus demonstration to protest the Hamas-Israel war in Gaza.

One of the individuals arrested is unaffiliated with the university, one is a graduate student and one is an Ohio State staff member, university spokesman Ben Johnson said.

A group of about 25 pro-Palestine demonstrators gathered in the early morning hours Thursday to begin constructing an encampment on the South Oval. Organizers with the Students for Justice in Palestine called it the "Ohio State Gaza Encampment."

University police officers told protesters to take down their tents later that morning because tent camping is not allowed on the lawn without prior approval, according to OSU's space rules. The tents were eventually removed.

A pro-Palestine protest was planned for Thursday at the Ohio Union at 5 p.m. It comes two days after two Ohio State students were arrested during another on-campus protest.
