Ohio’s Hospice to hold Celebrating Life’s Stories Butterfly Release on June 2

Ohio’s Hospice will hold its Celebrating Life’s Stories Butterfly Release at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at Ohio’s Hospice to honor and remember people who have touched lives and live on in memories.

The event will be held behind the main building next to the pond at 1900 Akron Road, Wooster. After a brief program, participants will listen to live music and release butterflies in memory of loved ones. If individuals cannot attend, butterflies can be purchased and released on their behalf.

“Releasing butterflies in honor and memory of a loved one is a visual that stays with you, for both adults and children,” said Katherine Ritchie Grant, development director. “This event supports our mission and helps the community to heal through memories of their loved ones.”

Last year’s Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare Butterfly Release raised more than $11,000 to support patient care and services. This year's event is June 2.
