Canton Central Catholic upsets Berlin Center Western Reserve

Canton Central Catholic has pulled the upset. The No. 13-seeded Crusaders defeated No. 5-seeded Berlin Center Western Reserve 12-1 in a Division IV, Northeast 2 district semifinal game at Badger High School. Canton Central Catholic advances and will play No. 8-seeded Jackson-Milton on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Badger High School for the district title.

Lake shuts out Jackson to advance

The Lake Blue Streaks are headed to a district championship game. Lake defeated Jackson 9-0 in a Division I, Northeast 3 district semifinal game at Massillon Washington High School. The No. 16-seeded Blue Streaks advance and will play No. 2-seeded Walsh Jesuit in the district championship game on Wednesday at 5 p.m. back at Massillon Washington High School. Walsh Jesuit defeated Hoban 16-1 earlier in the day to advance.

No. 8-seeded Rverside defeated Louisville 2-0 in a Division I, Northeast 1 district semifinal game at Mentor High School. The Leopards finish the season with a record of 20-5. Senior Matti Benson went 1-for-3 for Louisville in her final game. Benson is a University of Maryland recruit.
