Unsurprisingly, Station 19 left us on the edge of our seats at the end of the season 5 finale. Thankfully, the wait for new episodes of the ABC drama won't be too much longer. That's right — Station 19 has been renewed for season 6. So, it's only a matter of time before we get to see what happens next and there's so much to wonder about until then.

At the top of the list is, where did Jack (Grey Damon) drive off to? Although fans of the Grey's Anatomy spinoff have several theories, Andy (Jaina Lee Ortiz) will still need to get to the bottom of it after she was left standing alone.

In the meantime, here are all the details we know so far about Station 19 season 6:

When will Station 19 season 6 start?

Season 6 of Station 19 is coming back to ABC on October 6 at 8 p.m. ET. ABC made the official announcement in June, so fans can expect to keep their Thursday nights open throughout the fall.

If you're interested in more things Shondaland-related, make sure to stick around right after for the season 19 premiere of Grey's Anatomy at 9 p.m. ET.

In the official trailer for Station 19 season 6, the crew is forced to deal with nature's unpredictability. When the team is called to the scene of a car crash, the situation intensifies when tornado sirens start blaring. Will they be able to get the victim out of the car in time?! It's tough to tell but based on the trailer for Grey's Anatomy season 19, there are several injuries.

Who will be in the Station 19 season 6 cast?

We're predicting the following cast members will be returning for Station 19 season 6:

  • Jaina Lee Ortiz as Andrea Herrera

  • Jason Winston George as Dr. Benjamin Warren

  • Barrett Doss as Victoria Hughes

  • Danielle Savre as Maya Bishop

  • Jay Hayden as Travis Montgomery

  • Boris Kodjoe as Robert Sullivan

  • Carlos Miranda as Lieutenant Theo Ruiz

  • Stefania Spampinatio as Carine Deluca

  • Merle Dandridge as Chief Natasha Ross

  • Josh Randall as Captain Sean Beckett

  • Pat Healy as former Chief Michael Dixon

  • Grey Damon as Jack Gibson

  • Kelly Thiebaud as Eva Vasquez

What's more, a few season 5 recurring characters are officially series regulars. Merle Dandridge, Josh Randall and Pat Healy are slated to reprise their Station 19 roles, and their respective characters come with a colorful history.

  • Merle Dandridge is coming back as Chief Natasha Ross. While her background is strictly military, her work life is surprisingly calm amongst her co-workers. Her personal life, on the other hand, could cause major career repercussions.

  • Josh Randall is continuing his role as Captain Sean Beckett. He's a longtime firefighter who suffers from alcoholism.

  • Pat Healy is returning as former Chief Michael Dixon, whose beliefs go against the majority of the team's. He's also running for mayor, which will cause tension in the firehouse.

As for actor Grey Damon, viewers saw him drive away from Andy after he seemingly quit his job. But based on season 6 key art, Grey is still amongst the cast. By the looks of it, we'll learn what Jack's been up to since he bolted.

In addition, folks may recognize actress Kelly Thiebaud when she rejoins the roster. She previously portrayed Eva Vasquez in earlier seasons. Deadline made the official announcement in August, with a teaser line from ABC on what to expect from this return: "Misery loves company and Eva finds solace with someone from her past."

Who exactly could this be referring to? Fans might remember Rigo Vasquez's widow having an affair with Jack back in season 3. Will the two get back together? We can't wait to see this play out onscreen.

Are there any spoilers for Station 19 season 6?

According to Station 19 showrunner Krista Vernoff, Jack will return but he won't be the same. "When we find him he’s [no longer] a firefighter, and struggling with this emotional fallout,” she told TV Insider. He will continue reeling from the discovery that his birth parents gave him up to foster care while they raised his siblings.

Meanwhile, Maya will face consequences after threatening to expose the secret relationship between Ross (Merle Dandridge) and Sullivan (Boris Kodjoe). That said, Krista warned that there will be “consequences for all three.” What could this mean?!

How can I watch or stream the new season of Station 19?

When Station 19 season 6 premieres on October 6, fans can expect to watch new episodes on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Just like in previous seasons, there will likely be crossover events with Grey's Anatomy, which airs right afterward at 9 p.m. ET.

But if you're not into watching the show as it airs (we get it — life is busy!), there are definitely other options for how to stream it. You can just hop onto ABC.com the morning after the episode airs and watch it at your own leisure. If you're on the go, head over to the ABC app and download the episode on whichever device you want (iOS, Android, Amazon, Roku, Samsung or Google Chromecast). But take note: Although the app and website are both free, you may need to have your TV provider login info accessible as some content may ask you for it.

Alternatively, YouTube TV, Hulu and fuboTV users can stream new episodes via their subscriptions whenever they feel like it. But if you want a personal memento from the show (a.k.a individual episodes), then you can buy them from Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, Vudu and Google Play.
