Oak Hill, Gray Collegiate play thriller at The Bash, plus Saturday’s basketball scoreboard
The final day of the The Bash basketball showcase produced the best game of the event.
Micah Robinson’s basket with 17 seconds left helped Oak Hill (Va.) past Gray Collegiate, 62-61, in double overtime on Saturday at Ridge View High School.
Robinson finished with 16 points and was the voted the game’s most outstanding player.
Gray Collegiate, the top-ranked team in SC Class 2A, trailed 47-40, with four minutes left but went on a 9-0 run and LJ Britt gave the War Eagles a 49-47 lead with 1:28 left. Gray led 52-50 before OH’s Bronsn Schmidt-Uilii’s slam with tied it with 21 seconds left in regulation.
In the first overtime, Gray trailed 56-54 before Trai Whiite’s jumper tied with 39 seconds left. Whte led the War Eagles with 13 points.
Other winners from Saturday were Augusta Christian, Byrnes, North Mecklenburg, Combine Academy and Huntington Prep.
