Will NY Knicks eliminate the 76ers? Here are ticket prices and betting analysis for Game 5

The New York Knicks look to close out their first-round series against the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 5 Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.

Currently up 3-1 in the best-of-seven series, the Knicks are aiming for back-to-back second-round appearances for the first time since they did so in nine straight seasons in the 1990s, ultimately making it to the NBA Finals twice in that span.

After dropping Game 3 to the Sixers on Thursday night, the Knicks bounced back in Game 4 Sunday with a 97-92 victory in Philadelphia.

Knicks superstar Jalen Brunson, who had a slow start to the series shooting the ball, came alive in both games in the City of Brotherly Love. He set a Knicks' franchise playoff record with 47 points on Sunday at Wells Fargo Center.

Will New York close out the series on its home court, or can the Sixers, on the brink of elimination, extend it to a Game 6 back in Philly on Thursday night?

Here are current ticket prices for Game 5, and my betting breakdown and prediction on who will emerge victorious Tuesday night at MSG:

How to get Knicks tickets for Game 5 vs Sixers

With the Knicks on the verge of reaching the conference semifinals, ticket prices are understandably high given the current demand to be in attendance at the world's most famous arena in midtown Manhattan.

SeatGeek: Starting at $933.68 (including taxes and fees) in Section 417, Row 7 ($466.84 per ticket)

StubHub: Starting at $994 (including taxes and fees) in Section 416, Row 3 ($497 per ticket)

Knicks vs Sixers spread: Knicks -4 (-105), Sixers +4 (-105)

For Game 5, the Knicks opened as a 5.5-point favorite with that number moving more in the favor of the 76ers' with the line at most sportsbooks in New Jersey being a four-point spread.

In Game 4, it was a "push," as the Knicks were a five-point favorite and ended up winning by that amount to take a 3-1 stranglehold on the series that shifts back to MSG.

Even though they have the upper hand in the series, the Knicks have only covered the spread once in this series, a Game 1 victory where they won 111-104 as a 4.5-point favorite.

Despite the line movement, I believe the Knicks can close out and cover this number, which they've done so in two of three wins so far.

Barring some unforeseen ahead of Game 5, bet on the Knicks to cover the four-point spread at -105 (Bet $105 to win $100), with the best price currently on bet365.

Prediction: Knicks -4 (-105)

Knicks vs Sixers total: Over 203.5 points (-110), Under 204.5 points (-112)

With Game 4 featuring fewer than 200 points, the line for Game 5 opened with the lowest number of the series at 201.5 points.

Simply put, bet the over here.

Yes, the Knicks are clearly one of, if not the best defensive teams in the playoffs so far. Outside of Game 3 where they surrendered 125 points (most since March 29), Philadelphia hasn't scored more than 104 points.

However, I find it hard to believe either team will shoot under 28 percent from behind the three-point line.

With the Sixers' season on the line, they have no choice but to put together a better offensive performance, which they will by eclipsing the century mark Tuesday night.

This number has moved significantly in a short amount of time but I would still wager on the over now of 203.5 points at -110 on bet365 before the total goes even higher prior to tip-off.

Prediction: Over 203.5 points (-110)

One of the closest series in the first round has been this Atlantic Division showdown. Three of the first four games have been decided by seven points or fewer.

There's no doubt the Sixers need to throw the kitchen sink at the Knicks to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Philadelphia's Tyrese Maxey, who just won this year's Most Improved Player (MIP) award, has carried the organization in crunch time with a less-than-100 percent two-time MVP winner Joel Embiid.

The 23-year-old point guard out of Kentucky has scored at least 23 points in every game, including 30-plus point performances in both Games 1 and 2 at MSG.

Game 5 will come down to whether Embiid will show up in the fourth quarter. While he's scored 27-plus points in all four games, including a 50-point masterpiece in Game 3, he's yet to show up when it matters most.

In the fourth quarter this series, the Sixers' big man has shot a woeful 3-of-18 from the field in the final 12 minutes -- including a Game 4 effort where he only scored one point and had one rebound despite playing every second.

Whether it's health or conditioning, Embiid's lack of effectiveness as the game goes on will be the ultimate dagger for the Sixers.

The Knicks win yet another close, contested game and advance to the second round in front of a raucous crowd at MSG.

PointsBet currently has the best odds for New York to win Game 5 at +160 (Bet $100 to win $160).

Prediction: Knicks 107, Sixers 102
