Here’s the number of degrees awarded to GA students in 2022. Hint: it’s a record-breaker

College students are out here breaking records in the Peach State.

With more than 74,446 degrees awarded in 2022, Georgia students are showing up and showing out.

The University System of Georgia (USG) reported an increase in awarded degrees of 2.1% from 2021, making it an all time high season for education in the state.

“By preparing students for good jobs and helping create the jobs of the future, Georgia’s public colleges and universities are a great value for students and a major contributor to our state’s economy,” said Sonny Perdue, USG Chancellor. “This record in degrees awarded only confirms that the hard work being done across the university system is having an impact on the success of both our students and Georgia.”

USG joined the successful Complete College America program in 2011 and since then, the number of degrees awarded has increased 36% and enrollment has increased 7.1% and the rate of awarded degrees has continued to exceed the rate of enrollment.

USG has also just launched a new career planning tool that will help students with job and career interests, job opportunities and salary information.
