Former Kansas basketball star and Toronto Raptor guard Gradey Dick has signed an NBA marketing contract with Adidas Basketball, Dick announced via social media on Monday.

“It takes a village and I wouldn’t be here without them. A win for me is a win for us. Excited to announce I have joined the @adidasHoops family,” Dick tweeted Monday afternoon.

Along with fellow Adidas signee Jalen Hood-Schifino of the Los Angeles Lakers, Dick will star in a marketing campaign for the company’s “2023 Collection: Chapter 03” of premium lifestyle offerings, according to an Adidas news release.

Both rookies were previously part of Adidas’ first class of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) program for college athletes during the 2022-23 college basketball season.

“The 2023 Collection: Chapter 03 is a celebration of the invaluable individuals who stand behind each player — the cast of characters who not only support but inspire, their why,” Adidas said in the release.

Adidas also posted pictures of Dick with his father, Bart, and mother, Carmen.

Dick, a 6-foot-8, 204-pound Wichita native, was selected by Toronto No. 13 overall in last month’s NBA Draft. He averaged 14.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game last season, shooting better than 40% from three-point range.

He also won multiple honors during his lone season at KU, landing on the All-Big 12 second team and making the All-Big 12 freshman and newcomer teams.
