North Carolina escapes App State with a 63-61 win

Mack Brown and his University of North Carolina Tar Heels travel to Boone to play the Appalachian State Mountaineers, Saturday, Sept. 3, 3022.

Appalachian State tied the score 49-49 with four minutes left in the fourth quarter, and after a series of touchdowns by both teams, and two missed 2-point conversions by App, the Tar Heels survived with a 63-61 win.
