Nikita Kuzmin got Strictly's permission to do Celebrity Big Brother
Strictly Come Dancing professional Nikita Kuzmin has revealed he asked the show's producers for permission to do Celebrity Big Brother.
The dancer entered the Celebrity Big Brother house for its relaunch earlier this week, alongside the likes of Louis Walsh, Love Island co-winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Sharon Osbourne.
Before he walked through the doors of Britain's most famous house, Nikita told The Sun about why he'd consulted his bosses at Strictly about the TV offer.
"To be fair, I also asked out of respect," he said. "They're [Strictly] the ones who brought me to this country and gave me all these opportunities.
"I feel almost like they raised me, in a way."

Nikita revealed that the Strictly team quickly gave their blessing, recalling: "They just said to me: 'Make us proud'."
Thus far, Nikita has skated by in the Celebrity Big Brother house without much drama, as he avoided being nominated for Friday's live eviction show where Gary Goldsmith was voted off.
Louis Walsh has predicted there may be romance on the cards for the Strictly Come Dancing pro, having told Sharon Osbourne he spotted chemistry between Nikita and Ekin-Su.
"I've spotted a romance, a budding romance," Louis told Sharon. "I think it's Nikita that fancies Ekin-Su. He's always close to her, I don't blame him. He's lovely and she's lovely."

Gary Goldsmith also suggested that Nikita was a name-dropper, before realising it was simply part of Nikita's life to interact with celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing.
Will Nikita ruffle any feathers ahead of next Tuesday's live eviction show?
Celebrity Big Brother airs Sundays through Fridays at 9pm on ITV1 and the ITV Hub, followed by Late & Live on ITV2 immediately following each new episode.
