ESPN’s Lee Corso was the only member of College GameDay who picked the Alabama Crimson Tide to upset the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship Game yesterday. And Alabama head coach Nick Saban took note.

In an interview with College GameDay earlier today, Saban was told that Corso picked his team to win. Saban appreciated it, and had some kind words for Corso.

“Well, he’s the oldest, wisest of the program over there,” Saban said. The Alabama head coach even added a rare smile and laugh for fans to enjoy.

That earned a big laugh from everyone on the set. And the comment he made it quickly going viral with nearly 1,000 likes and shares in just a few minutes.

Lee Corso has taken a lot of heat this season for some of his picks and takes. His distaste for Cincinnati as a College Football Playoff contender has gotten him more criticism than any other.

But when it comes to Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide, Corso is in lockstep with Saban’s vision. There isn’t a chance in the world that he picks Cincinnati to upset Alabama in the Cotton Bowl.

All of that said, Alabama didn’t magically win just because Corso picked them. Even a broken clock is right twice a day and nobody would’ve thought twice if Georgia had won the game (as they were favored to).

Will Corso predict Alabama to win the national championship now?
