The Bears’ Nick Foles is one of the more appealing trade targets in the NFL. Head coach Matt Nagy is well aware that teams are interested in acquiring the Super Bowl LII MVP. The trade inquiries have reached Foles as well. Speaking to the press Monday, Foles addressed the possibility of leaving Chicago.

“I don’t want to go to someone that I don’t know,” Foles said. “When you have a great coaching staff, you have something special. Big reason we were great in Philly was we had a great coaching staff. It put us in position to succeed.”

Unsatisfied with his third-string role on the Bears, Foles is eager for a new opportunity. But he’s patiently awaiting the proper fit. Familiarity is Foles’ top priority.

“I don’t want to just go somewhere where I don’t know them, I don’t know the offense,” Foles said. “I’ve gone down that road before and it’s not fun.”

The Indianapolis Colts could be particularly interesting to Foles. Carson Wentz is out indefinitely after undergoing foot surgery and the Colts have only tentatively committed to Jacob Eason. Additionally, Foles loved working with (Colts head coach) Frank Reich in Philadelphia.

“Listen, Frank Reich is one of my favorite, if not my favorite, coaches of all time,” Foles said. “He understands me as a player. He understands me as a person. But you know, I haven’t had any talks with them. I’m a Chicago Bear right now. But he knows me, he understands.”
