Nice round numbers: Weekend MetroWest and Milford area Fantastic Five high school athletes

Nothing like finishing a big project right before vacation.

These MetroWest and Milford-area Fantastic Five (or so) athletesachieved career milestones the weekend before April school vacation. They punched out hitters, fired in goals and piled up the points.

Without further ado, the MetroWest and Milford-area Fantastic Five from the weekend:

TARA BATTAGLINO, Wellesley girls lacrosse

She accounted for nine points in a 19-3 win over Franklin on Saturday. Battaglino pumped in seven goals with two assists for the Raiders (4-0). Wellesley's Kaitelyn Uller contributed four goals and four assists.

LIZZIE BRYTOWSKI, Hopedale softball

She punched out 18 Holliston hitters in a 7-6 victory on Saturday, including the 400th of her career. Maddie DiMaio knocked in a walk off single for the Blue Raiders, who prevailed 7-6. Tori Miranda added two hits for Hopedale (3-0).

ANNA MAGENNIS, Ashland girls lacrosse

The UConn commit put away five goals in a 15-2 win over Framingham on Saturday. She notched the 200th point of her career, which includes 162 goals and 38 asissts. Paige Tripp distributed four assists with two goals for Ashland (3-2), while Morgan Dubanowitz had two goals and two assits. Ashland's Abbey Lombardo (assist), Payten Tripp, Maggie Magennis, Oivia Boulanger, Erin Hickey and Emma Chapman each found the net once.

MATT MILLER, Franklin baseball

He threw a one-hitter Saturday in a 3-0 win over Sharon. Miller needed just 75 pitches to complete the game and didn't allow a walk, striking out eight. Zach Winer went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Sean Kryzak and Cole Sidwell each had a hit and scored a run, while Jake Shaughnessy drove in a run for the Panthers (3-2).

GAVIN SHIPPOS, Medway boys lacrosse

He scored two goals, including the game-winner in double overtime 10-9 against Auburn on Friday. Justin Pillard led the Mustangs (4-1) with four goals. Medway's Matt Plante distributed three assists, and Dylan Costa controlled the face off circle.

JANELLE SCIROCCO, Nipmuc softball

She connected for six hits, including a double and a home run in a 20-15 victory over Millbury on Friday. Scirocco also drove in seven runs and struck out eight batters in the circle. Keegan Kelley added three hits, including a home run, and had four RBIs for Nipmuc (4-0), and Bridge Klupa singled and doubled with two RBIs.

LILY VILLAFLOR, Westborough girls lacrosse

She collected four goals in a 13-1 win over Tyngsborough on Saturday, including the 100th and 101st of her career. Taylor Payne distributed four assists and scored once for the Rangers (6-1).

Baseball

MARLBOROUGH 8, Groton-Dunstable: Dylan Romano and Michael Benway each doubled with an RBI for the Panthers, who scored six runs in the bottom of the seventh Friday to rally. Eric Kneissler drove in two runs, while Dominic Miele scored two runs for Marlborough (3-2).

WACHUSETT 8, Algonquin 5: Jackson Redfern notched two hits and scored twice and Thomas Boudreau collected an RBI double for the Titans (1-2, 1-1 Mid-Wach A) on Saturday.

OXFORD 6, Hopedale 3: Noah Smith (double) and Brayden Lewis each had two hits for the Blue Raiders (3-1) on Sunday.

FRAMINGHAM 8, Bridgewater-Raynham 0: JJ Blanchard drove in three runs on three hits, while Jace Coleman added three of his own and scored two runs for the Flyers (3-2) on Sunday. Framingham's Robby White struck out six in a five-hit shutout.

Softball

MARLBOROUGH 13, Groton-Dunstable 7; GROTON-DUNSTABLE 9, Marlborough 8: Catherine Seay hit two home runs in a doubleheader split for the Panthers on Friday. She was 4-for-4 with five RBIs and a home run in Game 1 and hit a homer in Game 2. Shauna Bopp added three hits and two RBIs in Game 2 for Marlborough (3-3. 1-2 Mid-Wach B).

WHITTIER 5, Blackstone Valley Tech 3: Ella Foster had three hits and drew a walk, while Lynsey Kay, Arihana Mercado and Brooke Gniadek (nine strikeouts in the circle) each had two hits for the Beavers (2-1) on Saturday.

HUDSON 10, Acton-Boxborough 2: Livi Sousa was 3-for-4 with two doubles, Lauren O'Malley drove in three runs and Samantha Collette (double) and Taylor Attaway (double, solo homer) each had two hits for the Hawks (3-0) on Sunday.

Girls lacrosse

SHEPHERD HILL 17, Hudson 11: Layne Thompson put away eight goals with two assists for the Hawks (1-3, 1-2 Mid-Wach C) on Saturday. Hudson's Kaite Perusse added a hat trick, while Say O'Sullivan contributed two assists.

AMSA 23, Marlborough 6: Maeve Powers contributed four goals and three assists Friday in a 23-6 win over Marlborough. Bella Rand fired in six goals for the Eagles (2-2). Marlborough's Ella Hobin put in a hat trick and, and Elizabeth Johnson had two goals and three assists for Marlborough (1-3).

Boys volleyball

MARLBOROUGH 3, Doherty 2: Kanian Gomes pulled up 20 digs for the Panthers (6-1) in a roller coaster 20-25, 25-22, 25-22, 23-25, 17-15 victory Friday.

KEEFE TECH 3, Pay Path 0: Bryan Costa fired eight aces and put down six kills in a 25-9, 25-12, 25-18 win for the Broncos (6-1) on Friday. Keefe Tech's C.J. Sok had 15 kills and two aces.

WAYLAND 3, Waltham/Weston 0: Liam Frenzel was all over the court with 10 digs, five kills and five aces Friday in a 25-16, 25-11, 25-16 victory. Wayland's Cooper Szeremeta put down 10 kills, and Finn Bell distributed 31 assists with seven aces for Wayland (4-1).
