NFL World Reacts To Trey Lance Training Camp News
Just a few months ago, the San Francisco 49ers made a bold move up in the 2021 NFL draft to select quarterback Trey Lance.
The move appears to have paid off as the hype surrounding the rookie quarterback is starting to reach an all-time high. Fans already had high expectations for the No. 3 overall draft pick, but his performance on the field is leaving no doubt that he is for real.
Over the past two weeks, reporters who cover the 49ers have been gushing about the former North Dakota State star. One 49ers beat writer, David Lombardi, said the combination of Lance and the No. 1 offense “doesn’t feel fair.”

Lance has also impressed defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans, who is glad that the rookie quarterback is on his team.

Other reporters have suggested that Lance is clearly the best quarterback on the field – although there have been plenty of glowing reports about Jimmy Garoppolo as well.
One reporter said Lance was the best quarterback on the field for the second-consecutive day.

Earlier in training camp, head coach Kyle Shanahan made it clear that Jimmy G was the best quarterback on the roster. He suggested Jimmy G is the 49ers starting quarterback for the 2021 season.
However, Lance might be giving Shanahan pause when it comes to selecting his starting quarterback.
