NFL World Reacts To Sunday’s Pete Carroll News
While Russell Wilson’s future in Seattle is reportedly unclear, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll will reportedly be back in 2022.
There had been some speculation that the Seahawks could undergo major changes this offseason – and they still could at the quarterback position – but the team’s head coach and general manager will reportedly be back.
ESPN NFL insider Chris Mortensen reported on Sunday morning that Carroll will return for another season.
“Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that, indeed, they’ll be back. Mortensen says that Carroll and Schneider met on Thursday with owner Jody Allen, and that “all systems are go” for Carroll and Schneider,” Pro Football Talk writes.
The Seahawks had a down year, but good luck finding a better head coach than Pete Carroll.

NFL fans took to social media to react to the move.
“The real question is does Russell want to come back. If he does not feel like the Seahawks suit him in any way he will ask for a trade. Which unfortunately is completely possible,” one fan tweeted.
“It’s why you sign that contract when you are 12-4 so that when the team falls on it’s face, ownership cannot get rid of you,” another fan tweeted.
“This is a mistake, Carroll did a great job but sometimes the message goes stale,” another fan added.
Russell Wilson, meanwhile, could be on his way out.
