Former Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley has been so critical of Aaron Rodgers this week that he’s starting to sound like Skip Bayless. For the second time in the past few days, he made some puzzling remarks about the reigning MVP.

Earlier this week, Finley questioned Rodgers’ work ethic while on appearing on ESPN’s KJM radio show.

“I just don’t see the work ethic in Aaron Rodgers that I have in previous years,” Finley said. “And actually, you can see it right through his helmet. The eyes and the face tell everything about the personality. And I don’t see that NFL hunger and that hunger to go win another championship.”

Finley decided to double down on his stance about Rodgers’ struggles during an interview with TMZ Sports, revealing that he’d bench Rodgers by Week 4 if he continues to perform poorly.

“If you don’t see it, let’s go to [Jordan] Love,” Finley told TMZ Sports. “You’ve got one of the highest-paid backup quarterbacks sitting right behind Aaron Rodgers, so you might as well utilize him and get him going for the future.”

As you’d expect, Packers fans find these comments from Finley quite comical.

“Anything to get clicks, but can’t fathom Rodgers would come back and embarrass himself on the way out,” one fan said. “Bad game. Wash it away and LFG.”

“Unless he is secretly trying to motivate #12….I think he best be silent because I believe there is a 95% chance he eats those words,” another fan wrote.

Rodgers was awful against the New Orleans Saints in Week 1, no one will deny that. However, it would be foolish to write him off just because of one bad performance.

We’ll see if Rodgers can silence his critics on Monday night when the Packers face the Lions.
