Pass rusher Chandler Jones has been a dominating force on defense with the Arizona Cardinals for the better part of five years. But it appears he wants out of Arizona heading into his sixth.

ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler reported on Sunday that Jones has requested a trade from the team. Per the report, he has been “unhappy with his contract and his future with the team.”

However, the Cardinals are reportedly reluctant to grant Jones his request. They don’t want to trade him and are expecting him to report to camp.

Given that Jones has 97.0 sacks in 124 career games, a lot of fans would love to add Jones to the fold. Some fans are already publishing trade offers they’d give from their favorite teams. Patriots fans in particular would like to have him back in New England:

Chandler Jones was a first-round pick by the New England Patriots in the 2012 NFL Draft. In four years with the Patriots, he had 36.0 sacks in 55 games, winning a Super Bowl and making the Pro Bowl in 2015.

Jones was traded to Arizona in 2016 and quickly gave the Cardinals more than their money’s worth back. In 69 games for Arizona he has 61.0 sacks, 17 forced fumbles and 68 tackles for loss. He led the NFL in sacks with 17.0 in 2017, and earned his first of two First-Team All-Pro selections.

A torn bicep ended Chandler Jones’ 2020 campaign after just five games though.

What would you give to bring Jones to your team?
