Las Vegas had a marketing campaign with the familiar tagline, “What happens here, stays here,” but Chiefs fans probably don’t want the team to leave the “Snow Globe” play behind.

The Chiefs’ spinning huddle play went viral Saturday during the Chiefs’ 31-13 victory over the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Some people complained that the Chiefs were being disrespectful, but Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby didn’t see it that way.

“It doesn’t surprised me at all. Coach (Andy) Reid is definitely creative. I feel like they had nothing to lose either so at the end of the day, they’re just trying things out to see if it’ll work in the playoffs or something like that,” Crosby told reporters after the game.

“I know they’re not trying to embarrass us or anything like that. Andy Reid is one of the best coaches in the game and I’ve got a ton of love for him.”

The NFL’s Next Gen Stats shared a data visualization of the play, and it’s rare to see one of these that includes the huddle.

But that’s what set up a pretty cool trick play that resulted in a touchdown pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes to receiver Kadarius Toney. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, the play was nullified by a penalty.

Here is the play, so you can compare that graphic to the real thing. Plus it’s fun to watch this again.

The Chiefs didn’t get the touchdown because of the penalty, but they found the end zone on the very next play against the Raiders. And again it was Toney, who scored on a jet sweep. Next Gen Stats shared that play too.
