NFL Insider: Green Bay Packers Have “Agreed” To Trade Aaron Rodgers After 2021
For the majority of the past few months, it looked like star quarterback Aaron Rodgers would never suit up for the Green Bay Packers again.
However, Rodgers made his triumphant return to the Packers just last week. According to multiple reports, the star quarterback agreed to a re-worked contract that removed the 2023 season from his previous deal.
While he still has the 2022 season intact on his deal, it sounds like he won’t be around for that long. According to a new report from NFL insider Jay Glazer, the Packers have already agreed to trade Rodgers following the 2021 season.
“As for the Packers, they have about six months to repair that relationship with Rodgers,” Glazer reported ahead of the Hall of Fame game. “If at the end of this year Aaron Rodgers decides he wants out, they have to trade Aaron Rodgers. They’ve agreed to it already.”

Glazer made it clear that the Packers would only trade Rodgers if he wanted to be traded. Of course, that should be a given after what fans have witnessed all offseason.
For now, Rodgers will suit up and play for Green Bay during the 2021 campaign. He and the Packers have made back-to-back NFC title games, but have failed to advance to the Super Bowl.
