Woman opens fire into crowd at Myrtle Beach, SC, bar after fighting with security

A woman was arrested after allegedly starting a fight with security and opening fire into a crowd of people at a Myrtle Beach bar.

Rhonda Lorraine Leake, 34, was charged with four counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and possession of a weapon during a violent crime by Myrtle Beach Police.

Police responded to a disturbance at The Flock Bar and Grill at 407 Yaupon Drive on Aug. 31, 2024, according to an arrest warrant.

Leake can be seen on video initiating a fight with security and firing multiple rounds into the crowd, the warrant said.

Two of the victims were able to pull Leake off of another victim, the warrant said. During this time, she pulled a gun from her waist line and began to open fire at the victims.

It is unclear if anyone was injured during the incident.

One of the security guards was able to remove the weapon from Leake and give it to police, the warrant said.
