Woman injured, dog killed after being struck by vehicle

Feb. 26—One female is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle while walking her dog.

Cullman City Police Communications Officer Adam Clark said the incident occurred Sunday evening at the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 31 and Sportsman Lake Road.

Clark said the woman was transported to receive medical treatment for her injuries and that the dog had been killed in the accident.

Law enforcement did not disclose the name of the woman or the dog.
