How to watch or stream Duke vs Jacksonville college basketball game on Monday night
It may still seem strange that No. 7 Duke will play a men’s basketball game on Monday and Mike Krzyzewski will not be on the sideline coaching. But get used to it. The Jon Scheyer era of Duke basketball begins against Jacksonville.
The only significant contributor from the Blue Devils’ Final Four squad who returned was point guard Jeremy Roach. He’ll be joined in the starting lineup by four newcomers to Duke including Ryan Young, a graduate transfer from Northwestern.
Two of the biggest names in Duke’s No. 1 ranked recruiting class are hobbling to start the season. Dariq Whitehead will not play against Jacksonville, as he continues to recover from a fractured right foot injury. The 7-foot-1 Dereck Lively, who had a strained calf muscle, was not ruled out for the opener. But Scheyer indicated he wanted to make sure both players were in game shape before they returned to the lineup.
