President Joe Biden spoke live Monday about the response to historic floods in Eastern Kentucky.

Biden on Monday toured the Eastern Kentucky communities that were recently devastated by floods. The disastrous flooding left dozens dead.

Biden and First Lady Jill Biden arrived in Kentucky Monday morning to meet with flood victims and see the damage. They arrived at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington around 10:40 a.m. and then headed towards Eastern Kentucky via helicopter. Biden spoke to media in Breathitt County before delivering remarks in the afternoon.

Biden told reporters earlier in the day that the federal government would stay in Kentucky to help the recover efforts.
